I once met a friend of a friend, who, aside from her seeming red cordial addiction, had made me laugh almost uncontrollably when she commented, out of the blue, on how people would remind her of animals. To me though, Tim is a chocolate mousse. Perhaps this is because this is the first thing we really cooked together, it has become our signature dessert and hasn’t ever really differed from it’s original form.

1. Yummy mousse! My friend was telling me that in Japan the girls make presents for the boys on Valentine’s day and the boys pay them back a few weeks later. It seems like a cute tradition. You’ll have to get Tim to cook you something.

2. Arwen – I’ve heard of that tradition! Sadly (for me, at least!), we’re in Australia, so our local traditions apply… Chris just needs to guess where we’re going for dinner!

   Anyway, she didn’t make me any mousse, which would ordinarily be saddening, but instead she made some awesome caramel and white chocolate truffles, which will no doubt feature here shortly… only problem is having to wait to get them!
