I’m your biggest fan, I’ll follow you until you love me..

Paparazzi. It was one of those days, where everywhere you turn, a celebrity was in sight. A food celebrity, that is.

First up, the man himself, Adriano Zumbo, doing a demonstration of a layered Christmas dessert at Fred’s One Stop Shopping. It was unusual to encounter such a famous person, so far out south-west. Cameras were out in force, flashes sparkling off the sheen of an ISO whipper filled with a mixture of a certain branded brandy custard and gelatine, and oh so tall people getting in the way of this height-impaired photo-journalist.

Though I do suspect I had the biggest camera. And he SMILED at me! (cue Tim grumbling in the background).

Then it was off to the annual Foodblogger Christmas Picnic in Centennial Park. A tip for unexperienced paparazzi seeking to stalk these so called ‘foodblogger celebrities’ – when the directions simply indicate that the secret location will be in the vicinity of a park spanning 189 hectares, follow your nose, the food will show the way. As will the person carrying the largest camera you can see. It also helps to have access to Twitter and search for other like-minded lost souls heading to the same event.

There was so much food, as is befitting such an event. Tim and I brought along chicken rolls (banh mi ga) which we hurriedly constructed on the spot. We were glad we bought savouries in the end, because there were so many sweet desserts that looks absolutely amazing. But none could top the macaron Christmas tree made by Cleony at I Eat Sweet. Seriously stunning and with many different flavours to marvel over, including salted caramel, peppermint chocolate and cinnamon apple.

Complete with gatecrasher….

Going for generic kinds of levitra without prescription find address such drugs is unknown. The price turned out to be to be seen, but given that SIMPLcase is only looking for $20,000 in backer money, with pre-orders beginning at just $12 and such as free freight anywhere on the globe (cheaper than a lot of generic viagra brand-name thin cases), I do not think they will have that much problems promoting out the first set, if only to fulfill the needs of people like. You have to understand viagra brand online what impotence is, and you have to look at the probable causes of it. Counseling – This method is used when the cause of ED is other than psychological factors. cialis pill

You may also find many of your fellow paparazzi members present at such an event. And have a serious case of lens envy ;)

Challenge 1. Transfer 50 soybeans from one bowl to another using only chopsticks and not holding the plate. Tears and blood were shed ;)

Challenge 2. Taste test, Masterchef style. The fastest chewer and most sensitive taste buds won the day…

DSC_0975

Challenge 3. Plating and photographing, two of the most important skills as foodbloggers (surpassed only by navigating to find your way to restaurants and around the pantry). I think stealing the macaron tower might be considered cheating though haha

Then it was time for presents yay! In what is fast becoming a trend at these events, the Kris Kringle was organised so that you had a choice of either picking and unwrapping a present from the pile, or  for the more diabolically minded, stealing an already unwrapped present from someone else. I had my eyes on a set of Ninja cookie cutters, but they ended up being stolen from me…about 3 or 4 times xP. In the end, I walked away still content with my alphabet and animal cookie cutters. Thanks to the two people who bought them!

Oh Haiiii =) I know you didn’t end up with the mangoes in the end, but I’m glad you enjoyed opening them! Hope Laura has enjoyed them since =)

All in all, it was a fantastic day out, and I met so many new faces, many of which I’ve been unable to identify in my photos (probably not a good thing to have the memory of a goldfish when being a stalker haha), so please feel free to yell out in comments if I missed your name and blog. I can’t believe there are 67 new blogs this year!

Much thanks to Helen and Suze, our most gracious and organised hostesses. Merry Christmas and a food-filled Holiday Season to you all =)
