Playing card cookies – Tim’s Birthday 2010
Friday, 1 Oct 10
There comes a time in your life when birthdays no longer become fun. I haven’t yet reach it, but my poor boyfriend seems to have. “No, I don’t want to celebrate my birthday” he muttered into his pillow one evening. “No, I don’t want to celebrate with my friends. Don’t organise anything.” Must be hard that side of 20s ;) (Course, it probably doesn’t help that I keep rubbing in his age!)
So I made him cookies instead. Playing card cookies to be exact. Card games seem to have been a big feature of his uni-years – not so much now, since I can barely play Go Fish with any sort of skill. But hopefully it reminded him of better, more youthful times…(hehe!)
I’m not quite dedicated enough to make a full deck though, and I’m sure his waistline thanks me for it. Instead, I present to you the royal family, plus Aces and Jokers, all in royal icing and piped chocolate. =) Happy birthday for yesterday, Tim!
